Alagna is a small and still unknown freeride resort south of the Monte Rosa range. You would be wasting your time looking for groomed runs here. The lift network brings us up to 3200 meters, where a vast freeride area is waiting to be discovered.
We will be riding and skiing runs with up to 2000 vertical meters. Other highlights: steep couloirs filled with snow, open fields of untracked powder, and one day heli skiing & boarding from a starting point of 4000 meters.
It is an understatement to say that Alagna, Monte Rosa, isn't crowded. You get to know the few freeriders who are around personally after a couple of days, because everyone meets at the same bar for a drink in the evenings...definitely not ideal for party animals - instead we will be spoilt with a small, comfortable hotel, good cooking from the local Piemont region and great red wine.
2000 vertical meter ski runs ! and... NO CROWD ! Steep couloirs, wide open powder fields Top food !
